North East of India is one of most diverse regions of India. The regions cultural, ethnic, ecological heritage is great to say the least.
The north east India consists of primarily the seven sister states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura. We have also included Bengal in this site for similarities between the northern part of Bengal and the rest of north east India.

The site has two clear objectives. One is to act as a source of current and accurate information for the north east India. Information that is vital for integration of this region with the rest of the country, yet information that is scarcely available in the internet. The second objective of this site is to act as a forum for the people of north east. A place where we can meet friends, share our thoughts and concerns and likes and dislikes.

We are not under the illusion that such a gigantic effort could be served with a small team of part time content writers from one small town in north east. We can only do justice to our objective if and only if we have participation from our visitors. So it is our earnest request that you contribute in your own way. Please send us writeups about the north east related issues. Please also contribute in our forum and make it a vibrant community. We know this project needs a lot of effort to get going. This site can become the webportal of north east only with your active support. We are confident we wont lack that.
