| New
communication network for state police Agartala, November 06
The state police will soon migrate to a new system of communication
to prevent leakage of police
conversation. The system is known as "pool Net" and will
be introduced soon in all the police stations of state Tripura.
The militants in the region have successfully tracked official
conversation by using high bandwidth FM radios. The new technology
is expected to solve this problem. Official sources informed that
14 police stations have already been equipped with this new technology
and by the end of current financial year every police station will
be equipped with this system.
The central Home Ministry has provided the necessary financial support
to the process of modernization of state police. The United Telecom
Limited of Bangalore has provided the technology and instruments.
