Talent hunt for children of lesser Gods Guwahati, Nov 25

An NGO from the north east, known as The Vocational Rehabilitation Centre (VRC) for
Handicapped has come up with a novel plan to infuse a sense of competitiveness in the naturally deprived children from the entire northeast region. On the occasion of World Disabled Day on December 3 next, VRC is hosting a talent hunt with a sports meet in the SAI sports complex in the city, in collaboration with Lions Club of Guwahati.

Mr. Debashree Dutta, a Rehabilitation professional of VRC informed that they are endeavouring to find out special talents out of more than 1000 disabled participants and thereby give them motivation. Painting competitions, singing contest, musical chairs, spoon race, tug of war, and relay race would all be organised in the event for mentally and physically challenged."For the visually
handicapped, special drum beating competition has been organised.
